When Tim's father stated that he didn't want Tim to go with him due to his age, and size he thought he sounded like he was looking for excuses. It sounded like maybe it made him feel unwanted. He made him sound to younge. Tim also toned it where he thought his father thought he was to small to go on the trip. It was pretty straight foward,put bluntly, and convincing as well.
